Third Sun Solar Pelotonia Team 2011

Third Sun Solar makes a special effort to support worthy causes in our community. We enlist the help of our employees and friends in giving financial and emotional support to the people and organizations that are making a difference.

Pelotonia & Bo’s Tire Barn, 2011

 
Last year, we sponsored a six-rider Pelotonia team – Bo’s Tire Barn – Powered by Third Sun Solar – which raised over $34,000 for cancer research at the Ohio State University’s Comprehensive Cancer Center, which includes the James Hospital and the Solove Research Institute.

This year, our Peloton is 12 riders strong with an ambitious goal to exceed $60,000 of support for the cause to end cancer.

Bo’s is committed to the cause and we at Third Sun Solar support their efforts through a match of donations. They seek to be worthy of your support with each and every training ride beginning in the cold, wet winds of early March and will building to a peak of 160 miles per week in the heat of summer.

Bo’s is helping Third Sun Solar spread the word about solar energy’s compelling future amongst a Pelotonia ridership that includes many of Central Ohio’s business and civic leaders and thousands more Ohioans who are motivated rally around a common goal – a cancer-free world. We believe in the mission of the Pelotonia and we wholeheartedly support Bo’s riders and appreciate what they do for cancer research as well as the promotion of solar energy.

employees a certain amount of funds to distribute to the non-profit or community development organizations of their choice. This year, we combined our annual holiday party with an anniversary celebration, and we extended the community gifting opportunity to not only our employees, but the other guests at the celebration. Our Third Sun Solar core values include sustainability, care for the environment and care for our community, so hopefully our gifting reflects those values.”
